Fat injection, also called autologous fat transfer or fat grafting, is the technique of moving fat from one area of the body to another to improve contour, correct defects, or enhance features.
After fat harvesting from any part of body through a small aspiration canula, healthy microfat cells are separated by optimum centrifugation. Small amounts (less than 0.1 cc at a time) of healthy fat are carefully introduced in a series of discrete layers to gradually 'build' new soft tissue structure.
Microfat injection is highly successful at less mobile areas like as tear trough, hollowness under eyes, hollow eye sockets, dark circles, chin, sunken cheek and temporal depression.
The result can lasts for years to permanent.
