| The popularity of gynecomastia surgery has skyrocketed in recent years. Male breast reduction surgery or reduction mammoplasty is aimed to reduce breast size, flattening and enhancing the chest contours. In cases where gynecomastia is primarily the result of excess fatty tissue, liposuction techniques alone may be used. Excision techniques are recommended where glandular breast tissue or excess skin must be removed to correct gynecomastia. To hide the scar,subcutaneous mastectomy with periareolar incision is a common excision technique. |
